Three points of pride in dried turmeric
Agriture's dried turmeric is thoroughly quality-designed for adoption as a commercial raw material. Here we introduce three perspectives that are particular strengths.
01 Uses domestic turmeric grown in Okinawa Prefecture
Centered on autumn and spring turmeric grown in Okinawa Prefecture, we select based on curcumin content and aroma. Being able to stably secure domestic turmeric, whose distribution volume is limited, is a strength unique to a specialist processing factory.
02 成分を意識した低温乾燥
クルクミンをはじめとする成分と、ターメリック特有のスパイシーな香りを損なわないよう、温度と風量を抑えた低温熱風乾燥を採用しています。粉末化にも適した乾燥度に仕上げています。
03 A clean label as a functional raw material
Processed with the ingredient just as it is, using no additives, glucose, or bleaching agents. It can be adopted as is in fields where "transparency of the ingredient listing" is valued, such as supplements and foods with function claims.

Characteristics as a commercial raw material
We've summarized, from six angles, the benefits of choosing dried turmeric as an OEM raw material. Use it as reference for both replacing existing raw materials and developing new products.
Its feature is a vivid color development usable as a natural color for curry, spice blends, and beverages.
With a single raw material, it can be developed into a wide range of product forms — curry roux, dressings, smoothies, supplements, and more.
It can be changed to fine-powder processing on request, so it also fits product forms such as drinks, tablets, and granules.
We supply domestic turmeric, whose distribution volume is limited, stably on a contract basis. We can also accommodate demand for switching from imported products.
Because the ingredient listing is simple, it pairs well with health foods, foods with function claims, and organic-type brands.
Covers everything from 2 kg prototyping to full production of 10 kg or more. Specification adjustments for each OEM project are also handled end to end on our own line in Kyoto.

Variety, grower, and origin information
Agriture stabilizes the quality of its dried turmeric through sourcing from partner farmers and contract-growing regions. Please also refer to this when you want to use origin information at the product-planning stage.
Variety: Centered on autumn turmeric grown in Okinawa Prefecture, we select with an emphasis on curcumin content and aroma.
Producer: Working with partner farmers and processing partners within Okinawa Prefecture, we thoroughly manage temperature from harvest through primary processing.
Growing region: Okinawa Prefecture (main growing region). A prime location for turmeric cultivation that makes the most of a warm climate and abundant sunshine.
Cultivation method: Sourced mainly through cultivation by partner farmers. We clearly record the flow from washing after cultivation and digging through to drying.
Low-temperature drying to protect the ingredient's natural flavor
To protect turmeric's aroma, color, and umami, Agriture uses low-temperature hot-air drying with finely controlled temperature and airflow. Our strength is retaining components easily lost in high-temperature drying through a process design tailored to the ingredient's properties.
Because we take in the raw material at our own processing facility in Kyoto and manage the whole flow in one place—sorting, cutting, drying, and inspection—we can hold quality variation between lots to a minimum. Combining procurement from partner farmers and contracted regions, we can start the drying process while the raw material is still fresh, which ties directly to finished quality.
The curcumin in turmeric is known as a component vulnerable to heat, light, and oxygen. Because low-temperature hot-air drying can lower humidity efficiently while keeping the temperature down, it can achieve a finish that retains curcumin and essential-oil components while preventing mold and deterioration. When powdering, too, the same process design finishes it into a spice raw material that retains color and aroma.
Commercial use cases
Because dried turmeric has ample aroma, texture, and umami even on its own, it can be developed into multi-purpose product-making from a single ingredient. Here we introduce five representative use cases.
Spice and seasoning raw material
Usable as a base for curry powder, turmeric powder, mixed spices, and curry roux. Using domestic turmeric lets you design differentiated spice products that clearly state the raw-material origin. Because it's a dried product, it's easy to weigh and blend, and easy to keep blend reproducibility — well suited to mass production.
Health-food and supplement ingredients
Usable as a raw material for turmeric tablets, granules, capsules, health foods, and the like. It supports powdering, with a specification easy to fit to the tableting process by uniform particle size. We can also issue raw-material origin certificates and analysis documents on a project basis.
Beverage and wellness raw material
It has a track record of adoption as a beverage raw material for turmeric latte, golden milk, turmeric drinks, medicinal-food tea, and the like. Made into a fine powder, dispersibility into liquid improves, and it can handle both coloring and flavoring for warming-care and wellness-type drinks.
Confectionery and bakery ingredient
As a mixing ingredient for turmeric cookies, muffins, curry buns, and the like, it adds a natural yellow color and earthy flavor to the dough. It also suits the design of additive-free, clean-label products that want to produce color without synthetic coloring.
Raw material for functional food and beverage menus
Usable as a differentiating ingredient for restaurant menus such as "warming drinks" and "medicinal-food plates." Because it can be stored at room temperature and used only in the amount needed, and is a raw material with little price fluctuation, it's also valued by foodservice users for making menu costs easy to stabilize.
Pet food and functional pet food
There are also cases of differentiating with domestic food-grade turmeric in joint-care and liver-care foods for dogs. It's an ingredient that pairs well with natural pet-food brands.
Commercial usage and case examples
For commercial use, we can handle everything from 2 kg prototyping to full production of 10 kg or more. It also has a track record of adoption in OEM projects for health-food, spice, and beverage makers as a raw material for switching from imports to domestic.
At Agriture, we provide end-to-end support on our own line in Kyoto, from raw-material selection and primary processing to cutting, powdering, blending, and small-portion packaging. Because we can adjust specifications to match an OEM client's spec sheet and design recipes for launching new brands, you can entrust everything with confidence from the prototype stage through volume production and ongoing supply.
We welcome first-time inquiries and considerations of switching from existing raw materials. For sample provision, quotes, and technical questions about the production process, feel free to reach out via the inquiry form.

Frequently asked questions (OEM and commercial dried turmeric)
We've compiled the questions we're most often asked about OEM and commercial dried turmeric. Please use them as material for your pre-contract decisions.
Q. About what are the minimum lot and unit price?
A. Prototyping is from 2 kg, and full production from 10 kg as a guide. The unit price varies with the processing form, such as slice or powder. For an individual estimate, please inquire via the inquiry form.
Q. When is the price / unit price determined?
A. Because domestic turmeric has a limited distribution volume, we quote each time based on the market price at harvest time and the contracted quantity. For an annual contract, the unit price at the time of contract is the basis.
Q. About how long are the delivery time and lead time?
A. Around two weeks for stock items, and 3-6 weeks for full production as a guide. If a powdering or sachet-filling step is added, please consult us separately about the delivery time.
Q. Can you provide raw-material origin certification or origin information?
A. We can prepare origin information showing it is grown in Okinawa Prefecture. You can also use it as explanatory documentation for OEM clients and retail buyers. Please specify the items at the time of consultation.
Q. Can you handle HACCP and export requirements?
A. Our manufacturing line is HACCP-compliant. We also handle preparation of English-language documents and sanitary certificates, and we welcome consultations on export projects.
Q. What is the flow for an OEM consultation?
A. It proceeds in this flow: 1) inquiry → 2) requirement hearing → 3) sample provision → 4) estimate and contract → 5) prototyping → 6) full production → 7) delivery.
