With slice cutting and chip processing, a difference of just a few millimeters in thickness greatly changes the texture and appearance. Of course we offer raw materials from our Kyoto-grown and domestic stock, but we also welcome brought-in inquiries such as “I want to commercialize vegetables harvested at my own farm” or “I want to process raw materials from a specified growing region.” While hearing about the use and the product image you aim for, we propose the optimal cut size and dry finish.

In addition to planning and producing original MIX products using over 30 kinds of dried vegetables, we also handle beverage OEM such as vegetable tea and vegetable coffee.

Cutting methods and manufacturing processes can be customized, and we flexibly handle new product development and made-to-order requests. You can consult us from small lots, so first please feel free to contact us.

      • For a new flavored-tea raw material, we want to dry and process herbs from our own farm
      • We want to create a PB vegetable mix to sell on Amazon

      Agriture CEO

The development of PB products centered on vegetables—dried vegetables, vegetable tea, vegetable coffee, and more—starts from the image of “to whom and in what setting you want to deliver it.” Is it for gifts, everyday use, or a health appeal? While hearing your concept, we design everything together, from ingredient selection to packaging. Please also consult us about product creation that upcycles non-standard vegetables or makes use of the Kyoto brand.

        Novelty production

        ノベルティ制作

We produce dried vegetable novelties using non-standard and unused vegetables. To suit uses such as corporate promotional items, commemorative gifts, and trade show handouts, we can consistently handle everything from content design to packaging and delivery.

They are used by companies wanting to convey environmental consideration and a sense of story.

        • Minimum lot from 100 pouches
        • Original design possible
        • Broad support—vegetables, tea, coffee, and more

        Past examples ↓

        • Production of an original dried vegetable mix that pairs with ramen, timed to Food Loss Day
          Case study here

        Agriture CEO

Compared with chocolate or baked sweets, vegetable novelties are still rare, and that alone gives a “not found elsewhere” impression. We are receiving more consultations from health-conscious staff and from companies wanting to showcase their SDGs and food-education efforts externally. While hearing what vegetables you want to use and in what setting you’ll hand them out, we think through ingredient selection and packaging together.

        Recent processing cases

        Development of papaya powder

        Buddy’s Farm Co., Ltd.

Buddy’s Farm was considering powdering the papaya they grow and using it as a raw material for pet supplements. Agriture consistently handled the drying and grinding processes that were hard to do in-house, finishing it into an easy-to-handle powder raw material.

Development of purple chili pepper powder

Nara Prefecture Miwa Somen Industrial Cooperative

As raw material creation for “Yamato-vegetable somen,” we undertook powder processing of purple chili pepper, one of the Yamato vegetables.

Other patterns of requests we receive

We want to dry and process vegetables

This is a request from those who want to dry vegetables from their own farm or purchased vegetables and sell or use them as dried vegetables or raw materials. It is also used for upcycling non-standard vegetables and for stock processing during high-harvest periods.

We want to develop a product using vegetables

This is a request from those who want to develop, from scratch, products that make vegetables the star—not just dried vegetables, but vegetable tea, vegetable coffee, soup bases, and more. We walk alongside you from concept design to prototyping and packaging.

We want to dry or grind something other than vegetables

We also accept drying and grinding of ingredients other than vegetables—herbs, fruit pomace, food byproducts, and more. We welcome consultations such as “I want to put what we’re throwing away to use as a raw material.”

        How consultation works

        Scrollable

        Inquiry / materials request

First, please feel free to contact us via the inquiry form or by phone. We welcome you even at the stage of “I want to know what kind of processing is possible” or “I want a rough idea of the price.” After you contact us, our staff will send you materials and take time to hear about your situation.

If you can give us a rough idea of the raw materials you currently have, the product image you are aiming for, and your sales destinations, our subsequent proposals will go smoothly. Please feel free to reach out with the mindset of simply “giving consultation a try.”

        Consultation / meeting

Based on the content of your inquiry, we will talk in detail with our staff. Online or by phone, we carefully ask about points such as “what ingredients you want to use,” “what kind of product you want to make,” and “what your sales destinations and expected lots are.” At this stage, it is fine if some things are undecided.

While introducing the ingredients we handle and our processing track record, we will organize the direction together. As needed, we will also present proposals for processing methods and specifications and a quote at this time.

        Prototype production / sample shipment

Based on the content of the consultation, we actually produce samples. While adjusting fine specifications such as drying temperature, cut size, and blend ratio, we aim for a finish close to your image. After you review the sample, we repeat prototyping multiple times as needed, incorporating feedback such as “make the texture a little softer” or “make the color more vivid.”

We handle this carefully until the finish is satisfactory, so even those tackling product development for the first time can feel at ease. We will inform you of the prototyping cost in advance.

        Full production / product development

Based on the specifications confirmed in prototyping, we begin full production. After finalizing the production quantity, delivery date, packaging specifications, and more, we adjust the schedule. We maintain thorough quality control during production and respond with a consistent management structure so there is no unevenness in the finish. Finished products are inspected and delivered in the specified format.

Even after the first production, we flexibly handle requests for additional orders and specification changes, so we have a structure in place for a long-term partnership. Please feel free to consult us about lot adjustments to match sales after commercialization.

        A message from the CEO

To become a presence like a “greengrocer”

Hello, I’m Rei Kojima, CEO of Agriture Inc. Born and raised in Kyoto, what I encountered while studying agriculture at university was the reality of “non-standard vegetables”—produce that loses its place simply for being uneven in shape or size. Vegetables that farmers raised with great care cannot sell at fair prices.

Wanting to face that issue, I founded this company while still a student.

Being in a win-win relationship with farmers. That is our origin, and it remains our unwavering axis today. Giving new value to non-standard vegetables and serving as a “greengrocer” that connects farmers and consumers, we work on the survival of agriculture and food loss reduction.

Details of dried processing and frequently asked questions

        What is the minimum lot?

When using raw materials from our stock, from 100 g; when using raw materials you bring in, from 1 kg in fresh state. Even if your desired lot is small, first please consult us.

        How is the price determined?

Because it varies by raw material type, processing content, and lot quantity, we provide individual quotes. It goes smoothly if you let us know the ingredient you want to use and the desired quantity when you inquire.

What kinds of processing do you support?

We consistently handle drying (slice, chip, whole), grinding and powder processing, blend processing, and small-pouch filling and heat-sealing. You can also consult us about beverage processing such as vegetable tea and vegetable coffee.

Can I specify the drying temperature or finish?

Yes, it is possible. We adjust the drying temperature and time to suit the ingredient’s characteristics and the use (retaining texture, color, flavor, etc.). We decide the optimal specifications together through prototyping.

Can you process raw materials I bring in?

Yes, we handle contract processing using raw materials you bring in (domestic). We also accept vegetables harvested at your own farm and ingredients from a specified growing region. For foreign-grown raw materials, please consult us about feasibility.

Can you process ingredients other than vegetables?

We also handle drying and grinding of items other than vegetables—herbs, fruit pomace, food byproducts, and more. We welcome consultations such as “I want to make use of an ingredient we’re throwing away,” so first please feel free to contact us.

How long does it take from order to delivery?

We can handle it from as short as two weeks. However, in cases that include prototyping and specification confirmation, or for first-time OEM manufacturing, it may take longer. For urgent cases, please consult us.

Can I check a prototype or sample before full production?

Yes, we always have you confirm a prototype before full production. After you check the finished texture, color, and flavor, we adjust based on your feedback. We will inform you of the prototyping cost in advance.

For small-pouch filling, please tell me the pouch sizes and formats you support.

We support multiple formats such as stand pouches, flat bags, and gusseted bags. Sizes can be adjusted to your requirements, so if you let us know the use (in-store sales, gifts, novelties, etc.), we will propose the optimal format.

What is the content per bag and minimum lot for filling work?

The content amount can be specified in grams. The minimum lot varies by content amount and bag specifications, so please consult us individually. Small-lot handling is also possible, so first please feel free to contact us.

Do you also handle applying seals or labels?

Yes, we consistently handle everything through to seal-affixing and labeling after filling. If you provide original labels, we can handle them as is. We also offer support in arranging label design, so please consult us on that as well.

Can I also request packaging or label design?

We offer design-arrangement support and can handle original labels and packaging. If you already have design data, you can use it as is. Please consult us for details.
