Wada Farm

Commercializing the fruit tomato drawing attention in Kyotango
We received the "Yarisugi Tomato" of Wada Farm — who grow tomatoes so concentrated in sweetness and acidity, raised in the harsh environment of Kumihama, Kyotango, that they're called "athlete tomatoes" — and productized them. High-sugar tomatoes are difficult to dry, so we devised the temperature control and cutting methods.

Reporting and article creation
With the cooperation of the grower, Wada Farm, we conducted an interview and created an article, working toward the sale of Yarisugi Tomato.A delicious tomato takes 10 yearsAs those words suggest, "Yarisugi Tomato"—born of years of effort in moisture control, fertilizer concentration, and more—is exceptional.
Sale of fresh produce
Yarisugi Tomato is sold not only dried but also fresh in a season-limited run. It has become a tomato with repeat customers at supermarkets in Kyoto City, and it is sure to catch the eye simply placed on the shelf.

Would you like to brand your vegetables?
At Agriture, we'll develop our business toward sustainable food sourcing and food-loss reduction—not only dried vegetables that upcycle off-grade vegetables, but also Kyoto vegetables and heirloom vegetables from other regions.
The vegetables of farmers, who are pros at growing, need to convey the thought behind them from their production background. We provide support from telling the story through to digital sales.
Growers and food makers who wish to commercialize their products are welcome to contact us.
