A flavored tea using dried Kujo negi wins a Japanese Tea Award

Centered on the tea ceremony and Japanese tea, Aida LLC offers experiences of time and space by drawing on diverse culture including food, art, aroma, and music. At its shop in Minami-ku, Kyoto, it produces experiences of special tea under the theme of a "Japanese tea space for savoring time."

Kujo negi tea

◯ma handles about 200 kinds of tea, spanning matcha, tencha, gyokuro, sencha, Japanese black tea, and more. Among them, we supplied Kujo negi, and its taste was recognized when the company won the Judges' Encouragement Award in the Flavored Tea category at the 2024 Japanese Tea AWARD for "Kusabira Kujo Negi."Reference

The possibilities of vegetables and tea

Dried shiitake is a representative example, commonly used to draw out vegetable umami as a material for dashi. The aromas and flavors that vegetables inherently carry are diverse and distinctive. At ◯ma, they gave form to the aroma and flavor of green negi, said to have been cultivated since the Nara period and to boast the oldest history among Kyoto vegetables.

We hope to keep exploring new possibilities for dried vegetables and Kyoto vegetables through Japanese tea.
