Freeze-dried strawberries

Commercial wholesale of dice- and slice-cut

  • Available from whole to dice-cut and slice
  • Strawberry powder is also possible via grinding
  • Large lots of several tons per year also supported

Freeze-dried strawberry is an ingredient that locks in the color, aroma, and sweet-tart flavor as-is through a method that rapidly freezes ripe strawberries and sublimates away only the moisture. It is characterized by a light texture and the strawberry's own aroma that spreads the moment you bite it.

It readily accommodates specification handling such as slice and dice cutting to match the use, and can be used in a wide range of product designs such as confectionery ingredients, toppings, granola, and drink uses. The ease of standardizing shape and the possibility of stable supply are also strengths as a commercial ingredient.

Features

Accommodating cut shapes to match the use

We can accommodate everything from whole raw material to dice-cut and slice. Size specifications are easy to make too, and we can supply it in shapes tailored to your product design—confectionery ingredients, toppings, granola, drink uses, and more. It also suits product making that emphasizes visual consistency.

Features

Accommodating strawberry powder via grinding too

We also accommodate grinding after freeze-drying, and can supply it as strawberry powder. It can be used for a wide range of purposes such as baked goods, drink bases, and flavoring ingredients, and product designs combining it with cut raw material are also possible.

Features

Stable supply as a commercial ingredient

We have a supply system premised on continuous commercial use and can accommodate inquiries for bulk quantities. Because shape is easy to standardize and lot management is easy, it can be used for stable product development as an ingredient for confectionery and processed foods.

As an ingredient for sweets and confectionery

Freeze-dried strawberry is an ingredient that locks in the strawberry's own color, aroma, and sweet-tart flavor as-is through a method that rapidly freezes ripe fruit and sublimates away only the moisture. It is characterized by a light texture and a gorgeous aroma that spreads the moment you bite it, and is used widely as a confectionery ingredient.

Because shape is easy to standardize and it can accommodate processing tailored to the use, such as dice and slice, its appeal is also that it fits easily into diverse product designs—baked goods, chocolate, toppings, granola, and more. It is valued as a commercial sweets ingredient that achieves both visual gorgeousness and stable flavor.

Questions About Freeze-Dried Strawberry

Can freeze-dried strawberry be used for cooking with heat?

Yes. It is used for purposes involving a heating step, such as mixing into baked goods and chocolate. Color and texture change depending on the heating conditions.

Can I specify the shape, such as slice or dice?

Yes, it's possible. We can accommodate specifications tailored to the use, such as slice and dice cutting. Whether we can accommodate it varies depending on the raw material and lot conditions.

Where is the strawberry from?

We accommodate this according to your request, but basically the strawberries are overseas-grown (Chile, Peru). For client-supplied raw material, we can accommodate from 400kg and up.

Can you do powder processing of strawberries?

It may be possible depending on the project and processing conditions. Details will be discussed after confirming the use and desired particle size.

Do you use glucose or other additives?

What is the difference between dried vegetables and freeze-dried?

Dried vegetables are often made by removing moisture at low temperature, so a firm texture remains. Freeze-dried vegetables, on the other hand, are frozen rapidly and then dried, giving them a light, crisp texture. The key is the difference in flavor and texture.About the difference from freeze-dried

How consultation works

Scrollable

Inquiry / materials request

First, please feel free to contact us via the inquiry form or by phone. We welcome you even at the stage of “I want to know what kind of processing is possible” or “I want a rough idea of the price.” After you contact us, our staff will send you materials and take time to hear about your situation.

If you can give us a rough idea of the raw materials you currently have, the product image you are aiming for, and your sales destinations, our subsequent proposals will go smoothly. Please feel free to reach out with the mindset of simply “giving consultation a try.”

Consultation / meeting

Based on the content of your inquiry, we will talk in detail with our staff. Online or by phone, we carefully ask about points such as “what ingredients you want to use,” “what kind of product you want to make,” and “what your sales destinations and expected lots are.” At this stage, it is fine if some things are undecided.

While introducing the ingredients we handle and our processing track record, we will organize the direction together. As needed, we will also present proposals for processing methods and specifications and a quote at this time.

Prototype production / sample shipment

Based on the content of the consultation, we actually produce samples. While adjusting fine specifications such as drying temperature, cut size, and blend ratio, we aim for a finish close to your image. After you review the sample, we repeat prototyping multiple times as needed, incorporating feedback such as “make the texture a little softer” or “make the color more vivid.”

We handle this carefully until the finish is satisfactory, so even those tackling product development for the first time can feel at ease. We will inform you of the prototyping cost in advance.

Full production / product development

Based on the specifications confirmed in prototyping, we begin full production. After finalizing the production quantity, delivery date, packaging specifications, and more, we adjust the schedule. We maintain thorough quality control during production and respond with a consistent management structure so there is no unevenness in the finish. Finished products are inspected and delivered in the specified format.

Even after the first production, we flexibly handle requests for additional orders and specification changes, so we have a structure in place for a long-term partnership. Please feel free to consult us about lot adjustments to match sales after commercialization.
